How TEDxAsheville Can Help Your Brain Evolve

On a recent edition of the radio show On the Media, the following questions were asked:

- Is Google making us stupid?
- Is it making us smarter?
- Have we lost our ability to concentrate?
- Are we more social or more isolated as a result of our constantly interconnected lives?

The emphasis of this article was basically that as we find ourselves increasingly “online” our brains are slowly evolving.  And maybe not in a positive direction.   Additionally, with the introduction of internet-based social networking tools like Twitter, MySpace and FaceBook into our lives, it’s quite possible we are losing the ability to connect with real people in real life.

If you are concerned that you are losing touch with reality, TEDxAsheville is here to help.  At this locally run event you can meet with like-minded peers who value discovering new ideas and participating in mind-blowing discussions.   TED is all about Ideas Worth Spreading and TEDxAsheville is bringing that concept home to the local level.

So, give your brain a chance to think and escape the echo chamber by attending this year’s TEDxAsheville.
