Online registration for the 2010 TEDxAsheville conference, to be held at the Orange Peel on Sunday, August 29, begins today.
This year’s speaker lineup includes “Last American Man” Eustace Conway, and multi-percussionist, composer and educator River Guerguerian. The $25 tickets are available at the conference’s website at tedxavl.com. All ticket proceeds will be used to underwrite the costs of producing the conference.
In 2009, TEDxAsheville packed the Orange Peel to overflowing. To better meet local audience demand in 2010 TEDxAsheville will offer a live streaming broadcast at several pubs and other viewing venues. Individuals, groups and organizations are encouraged to host private viewing parties, as well. This will allow TEDxAsheville fans from all over to enjoy the event in real time, even if they can’t make it to the show.
For more information about purchasing tickets or hosting a viewing party, go the TEDxAsheville website at www.tedxavl.com. Follow TEDxAsheville on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tedxavl and join the group’s Facebook Fan Page for regular updates.
Like last year, TEDxAsheville 2010 is organized by a team of local volunteers. For more information about TEDxAsheville, joining the volunteer team or sponsoring this year’s conference, contact us at tedxavl@gmail.com.
