2012 Speaker Nominations Open!

We’re now accepting presenter nominations for our 2012 conference to be held November 4th, at the Diana Wortham Theatre. This year’s theme of “The Edge” will feature some of the region’s premier thinkers, innovators and entertainers.

TEDxAsheville is seeking a dynamic and diverse group of presenters from across Western North Carolina to present around “The Edge” theme. For example, discussions that take us to the edge of our comfort zone, the edge of our human limitations, the edge of the next great frontier in science or technology, or the edge of design and creativity.

An ideal presenter has extraordinary personality traits or life stories, musical or artistic talents, or professional expertise. The speaker selection committee is specifically seeking nominations for expert presenters in the areas of biotechnology, animal behavior, brain or body science, technological inventions and robotics. TEDxAsheville nominees do not need to be professional speakers, yet they must be able to present their message in a captivating way while providing a unique takeaway for the audience.
